Throwback Thursdays: Picnic Wedding Inspiration Photoshoot

October 31, 2013

Starting a ‘Throwback Thursdays’ series this week…of some of the things I worked in my old world, in my previous Blossom Events. This photoshoot was near and dear to me, because 1) met some fabulous vendors who I am proud to call my friends 2) I’ve got a inclination to the colour combination yellow and grey 3) It was my first feature on Style Me Pretty! My ultimate fav blog!

Enjoy this inspiration on our first post for this series!

Wedding favour ideas

October 30, 2013

One of my favourite things to see at a wedding, is what the couple gives as wedding favours. Not because I want one to take it home, but mostly because a favour  is a simple personalized gesture to thank you for all of you who come celebrate their big day. They reflect a piece of themselves, or their personalities.  For example, when my husband and I got married, we decided that because we both love tea, and we were both born with different background, we will incorporate exactly that for favours. It’s who we are – so we packaged 2 different tea favours, one to represent me, being Chinese (we got a Chinese Jasmine tea), and to represent my husband, we got a tea from Sri Lanka. There are tons of ideas out there. It doesn’t need to be a big or expensive but it’s the thought that counts!

Some fun favours I found on Pinterest:

How about maple syrup to honour being Canadian?

For those who likes to eco-friendly couples, Fresh herb favours may be a good idea!

For the DIY couples, how about jam with personalized packaging?

For a little humour, I love this idea! Love potion!

So there you go, just a few ideas out there, but go ahead and have fun with your own ideas!!
